So what is it?
"Trump is such an idiot, he couldnt even tie his own shoes" (not an exact quote, but Trumps low IQ has been referenced here multiple times)
or
"Trump organized a coup at Capitol Hill to overthrow the election and in the process had Pence's access revoked amidst the coup so he would be killed because he wasnt going along with the election fraud narratives Trump was pushing"
I dont think this is a situation where "why not both" applies.
That his and his staff had their cards turned off deliberately to trap them in the Capitol is very much the sense in which the information was presented, which is why I offered it with another plausible explanation first.

He also doesn't have to come up with the idea himself to approve it. I'd argue that's part of the importance of not letting staff hide behind Trump asserted executive privilege on the matter.
This is a really dumb train of thought in this thread. Lots of Q-level fantasy conspiracies. There is good reason that offices with sensitive information should be locked out. Offices are not safe refuges or part of exit egress routes.
With the little information we have about the situation I would rather not jump into the shoes of a Q nut. Surprised we haven't seen any information come forward clarifying the situation. But perhaps the White House doesn't want to make its security protocols public information.
I don't think one way or the other, but I do think it's a stretch to say that because Trump is too stupid to think of turning off badges it means it wouldn't have been implied in his orders if they did happen.
I'm sticking with it's SOP but wouldn't be surprised to learn otherwise. The information coming out of the Jan 6 investigations is starting to paint a picture of inside involvement.

The main question is "Were any others locked out of their offices at the same time?" I know AoC sought shelter in an office at one point along with other people but yeah, if that was before the lockdown procedure occurred then this is all normal. Granted none of that sensitive information SHOULD have been in the office at all, but that depends on what you consider sensitive. I'm going from a classified stand point.
I just see timeline as:
Tourists show up and break in
Congressfolks take shelter wherever they can
security locks down all cards
security folks round up congressfolks to escort them to secure locations
Trump has his 5th hamburger of the day
I'm surprised this has not been on CNN yet. They could spend a whole week wasting people's time on conspiracy, speculation vomit.

Ah so now Trump supplied the coup with walmart brand viking helmets, got it.
“Trump is so cheap he doesnt pay his employees and his closest confidants”
Also
“Trump bought supplies for the coup”
Did I say that? Or did I say that those were the idiots that showed up lol
Yes you implied it when you said “yes, it can be both”
How does that imply he bought them supplies?
Gotta remember the GOP is the party that perpetually touts it'll be doomsday with democrats coming for their guns and miscellaneous freedoms. For those that went the extra mile to show up on the 6th, they were already prepared, no matter how poorly we may objectively view that preparation. Every bit of the Steal narrative is just a continuation of that philosophy that stoked heroism under the guise of patriotism.
We pretty much had inklings of inside involvement day one with some of the security staff being buddy buddy with the insurgents. It'd certainly be nice if investigations moved more swiftly and full stories could come out, but we also can't pretend the Trumpian wing hasn't been resisting these investigations. It's funny how "Just comply!" goes out the window when suddenly they're under the legal microscope. Not wanting to divulge the precise inner workings of security procedures is also a valid concern, not that I don't suspect changes have been initiated since. Then again, making changes without removing the rot within is also counterproductive. There's likely a lot to be learned between the 6th and Biden's inauguration, assuming evidence of such hadn't been destroyed. Call that Q-level if you'd like, but let's not pretend the previous administration were saints who did no wrong, be it willfully or through sheer incompetence.
I highly doubt Trump went down to the store and got the supplies himself and went through self checkout if that's what you're saying but we do know that a bunch of these people had meetups with Congressfolks and members of Trumps administration and others to plan this shit out. Trump was the mafia boss in the whole scenario. Very reasonable to assume he just told them what he wanted done, and they went and did it without directions from him in order to keep him apart from all the planning if things got leaked or fell apart.
Boss doesn't directly say "Go kill Tim" just implies how much he despises Tim and wishes he didn't exist anymore while around a bunch of his cronies who he knows will infer what he wants properly
I don't think Trump is some mastermind super villian but I also don't think he's AS stupid as he comes off. He knows what he's doing and knows enough to surround himself with parasites who will lick his ass clean
