    WFH with a toddler.

I know a few of us here became parents roughly around the same time span.

How the hell have you guys handled this so far? It wasn’t as bad when I started last March but now he’s two and half years old and is becoming more and more rambunctious each day. Little man is driving me crazy and it’s getting increasingly difficult to get quality work done.

The wifey works full time at a clinic as an RN so I’ve pretty much been a stay at home dad while teleworking this whole time.

I'm the one working 60 hours, 5-6 days a week at our house, and she's the one home all the time. Our son's a little younger than yours, but she has lost it a few times since March. We gotta keep finding ways to help her out--meet her needs, give her kid-free time, etc.

It's tough no doubt. Love to you and your son Xno~

On a serious note, I may really have to start considering drugging his little ass to sleep.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Xno, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of place do you live in? It may help me give you some answers. But I'll be honest, even my suggestions are only going to go so far. It's really really hard to work with a kid that age, so don't be thinking I am trying to play some nanny guru.

Also, are grandparents any kind of option?

We started with both my wife and I passing her back and forth throughout the day. Then I was called back to the office and my wife was tearing her hair out watching her alone. We have two sitters watching our daughter since Sept.

Take it a step further and trade it in for a cat. At least a cat, so long as you leave food and water out, can handle being alone for a few days if you go on vacation.

3 floor townhome. Do most of my work on the first floor living room since it’s child proofed with all his toys.

I try not to depend too much on my mother-in-law. She’s a sweet lady but it feels like every time I leave him there for the day it’s an urgent care visit in the evening. He still has a scar over his eyebrow from the last gash when he fell over there.

Plus I just flat out don’t trust my 30 year old virgin, unemployed, kicked out of boot camp brother-in-law who lives in the home. I really feel like it could be any day now they find his brain splattered all over the wall in his basement room.
