On top of the housing boom, everyone was stuck at home, so all those renos and projects that were put off for months/years finally got done with the newfound free time.
I don't remember the 2x4s I used to reframe the wall in my shower being particularly expensive back in September but I also don't know what 2x4s usually cost lol
My wife had to scramble to lock in some wood fencing subcontracts before the new month hit and they could recalculate their bids.

Fools investing in doge should have been investing in wood.
jesus christ
It's really fucking up the housing market. No one is building. Everyone is still buying. Housing prices are inflating and still selling quicker than ever.
I was really liking this house and was debating an offer, it lasted a week.

wood for bathroom remodel was costing more than double what it should, boat being stuck in that canal also really made it hard to find ANY insulation for a little bit
Bought my house for 753k 2.5 years ago, Redfin estimates it is worth 1.02M now
Yeah my house is worth a million dollars also
We bought a house in September, it's worth over 50k more already just because of material prices and market inflation. That's not including all the work we did to it.
Landlords everywhere are grinning.
