i always thought the swordstaff was a well designed weapon. being able to thrust from a distance like a spear but also cut/slice like a sword was probably handy

They're no sword-chuks though
I'd take a stick with a knot on the end for everything up to eagle. A shield and a mace/morning star or one handed/spiked flail for everything else up to large dogs to wolves. Pass on lions and bears though.
Shield should fall under armor and thus not allowed. Judges?
shields raise armor class ergo verboten
I could beat more of the animals if I had a tazer.

If the way we hunted mastodons resembles the way indigenous people hunt elephants and other big game in Africa, the point is to inflict a bleeding wound and then literally chase the animal to death.
Humans are really bad at burst athleticism compared to most of the animal kingdom, but we're awesome at endurance. So they throw their spears then chase something like an elephant or giraffe all day and just exhaust it to death.
persistence hunting babyyyyy
it's why us and dogs worked so well together
The African spotted dog is the most successful hunter on the entire continent, they literally chase their prey to the point of exhaustion and then eat ‘em.
Hey
Sometimes they caused a stampede off a cliff too
As soon as I dumped like 7 scrolls into the sword I got 2 glaives on the troll blacksmith floor
It finally fucking happened. Two realtors, five days of delays because he's a fucking idiot and somehow screwed up e-signing, but the house is now officially listed for sale.

I've been recording a podcast about the X-Men and who is the "Sensational Character Find" (the term used to describe Robin when he first appeared in 1940) of each year. We've gone from 1963-1980 in 3 episodes and some of these have been tough. How do you decide who was the most important, influential new character between Cyclops and Magneto? Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost? It's been a lot of fun to sit down and just talk about comic characters for 90 minutes at a time.
Also we ultimately chose Cyclops and Kitty, of those choices.
