LaMonte Wade Jr in the 9th inning this year. 20 PA, .632/.650/.947/1.597 with 11 RBI's.

Also his babip is .923 after last night. He's 12/13 when making contact. Six of his outs in the 9th inning are strike outs. Fucking absolutely insane.

Blue jays lose giving the Yankees a one game cushion for the second wild card slot going into the Red Sox series tomorrow. If my math is right Yankees are 16-16 against those two teams.

My liver is probably thanking the hell out of me I’m not a hardcore alcoholic anymore lol.

I heard the scenario on the radio this morning on what would happen if NY, Tor, and Bos, all end up being tied for the 2nd WC slot after the season is over, it's wild.

Even considering the Yankees pathetic run differential and the Jays' top 5 run diff, the Jays really don't deserve to make it. Brutal mismanagement day in day out from Montoya, Springer playing on one knee for the last three weeks for no reason (useless at the plate because he can't stand, and when he does make contact he can't run), the bullpen is dogshit and they tried to fix it by picking up Brad Hand (lol), and really only 3 usable SPs (Ray, Berrios, Manoah). Robbie Ray is a god with his paints painted on, and the offense is great generally, but this team has the same massive flaws (pitching, pitching, pitching) it's had for five years, and the offense needs to hang a touchdown on the opposition every night to have a chance.

The Yankees are also bad and it'll be hilarious if they miss, but I really don't have much faith in the Jays ability to do it. The Jays/Yankees series next week will decide everything one way or the other.

At least it sounds like Semien might stay.

if the Yankees make the ALCS this year they’re still firing boone

if they make the World Series (they won’t) it’ll be spicy to see what happens

3 starting pitchers isn't that bad of a handicap. Look at the Giants who for about three weeks straight were doing two bullpen games every run through the rotation due to Cueto being injured and Alex Wood dying of Covid for like three weeks.

I'm pretty sure our bullpen's combined ERA is almost 5.00.

Crunch time at the end of a season is fun when it's not your team's ass on the line.

I'd say he's done extremely well considering the circumstances, last year (and this year) many injuries, Covid-19 pandemic(in general), getting beaten by cheaters in the ALCS... If he's fired, he's the scapegoat.

Also, I remember all the "WTF La Russa" smack-talk when he got hired and look who won their division.

To be fair, my little league team could have won that division. LaRussa hasn't really done anything exceptional, outside of making the news a few times for the wrong reasons, but hasn't done anything bone headed enough to coat the White Sox any games.

Now if Have Kaplar doesn't get manager of the year, then we have found the voting fraud republicans keep screaming about.

If the Yankees don’t make the playoffs it’s going to be pretty easy to blame Boone. He blatantly punted a lot of the final games in a series if the Yankees had already won it instead of going for the sweep. It wasn’t just a few either.

Don’t know if it’s still the case but last I checked Yankees had the worst final series game record in the league.
