Spoilered for mini rant.
Spoiler: show
Contreras has been hit by Brewers pitchers 7 times in 12 games including twice in the last series and once in the head.
Cue Woodruff being a massive fucking baby the minute a ball comes anywhere near him:
Contreras swung into getting hit lol, obviously not intentional, but the Cubs felt the need to be babies and "send a message" by throwing at Woodruff.
He's been hit 7 times in 13 games by several Brewers pitchers. None of them are on purpose but you can't tell me he's swung into all 8 of these, including the one that drilled him in the head on the weekend.
The strategy is clearly to pitch him inside, but they can't just keep beaning him and expect nothing to happen.
So if they aren't throwing at him intentionally, why throw at the Brewers pitcher intentionally?
Archi's a Brewers stan, what do you expect?
If BRAUN got beaned 7 times in 13 games against the same team, he would be livid.
Getting hit 7 times in 13 games by the same team is bullshit no matter how you spin it. Someone is getting plunked.
As a warning to back the fuck off the plate. This happens between teams all the time. If player from Team A gets beaned repeatedly in a short period of time, then yeah a warning shot is going to get fired saying enough is enough, if you can't control pitching him inside, stop it or we're going to bonk you in return.
Corbin BURNES is now the first player in MLB history with 30+ strikeouts and 0 walks through his first 3 starts of a season.
