Oh yea I know it's an investment and I want it really bad, but RL's not being kind to me lately so .-. you can't eat hats or shirts, or well, you're not supposed to lol
Damn. Just now I went to look to see if there was a game on.
Well if MLB was smart, they'd have the Arizona Fall League and Dominican winter league games available to stream, you know to help promote your fucking sport in the off season like just about every other major sport, but well, this is MLB proving that it's not just the athletes who are dumb motherfuckers in sports.
As far as Manfred is concerned every second that a baseball game is broadcast is a second too long, it's not surprising he wouldn't want to put the minor league stuff on
So Truist was maybe 85% full today. Not bad for a midday friday morning. I think I saw estimates of 700-800k for Atlanta and ~1mil for the battery lining the parade route. So somewhere between 1.5 and 2 mil people between both routes.
The bus was probably moving in that earlier clip through Atlanta to meet time deadlines of arriving at Truist, would be my guess.
Still amazing to me that this happened. Amazing that Braves had the 2nd best attendance or something of all MLB this year, with a middling payroll and not breaking .500 until so late. Swanson, Duvall, and Ozzie saying to "re-sign Freddie" in their comments, while Snitker and Freddie offering such heartfelt and genuine "thank you's" really felt good.
Morton's comments actually got to me the most. Dude has been here before and done that, but hearing how much this group and team meant to him was pretty profound and telling of just what this team went through this year.
Freddie's comments make me think his dispute isn't with pay, but with how long the contract is. Boras is in one of his ears, but you know Chipper is in the other. I hope Chipper wins out more than Boras.
Jeez. Awful.
and yeah, I hope Freddie and them get it done. Only thing I fear is the dreaded Boras. Outside of that, I feel like they should be able to work it out.
Morton's comments hit me hard too. Poor guy was ready to flex and had that freak injury happen :/
