had my pfizer #2 on wednesday, starting feeling like early onset aches by wed night. Woke up around 12:30AM with chills/shakes/mild nausea didn't sleep for shit the rest of the night. Then Thursday I basically felt like I had a normal to mild case of the flu with mild fevers off and on that would hit maybe 101 at most and general lethargy and whole body aches. Today I'm a bit tired, was a little nauseous after waking up... oh and apparently i sweated a bucket overnight cause i was drenched when i woke up this morning.
totally worth it to help move back towards normal.
I actually think the wide distribution of side effects in people to these shots is fascinating and highlights how different everyone's immune system is.
Am I the only mutant on here that didn't get any side effects aside from the slightly sore arm that lasted all of 2-3 hrs?
All of my RL friends had a sore arm and that is it (Mix of P and M). All of us are gym-goers as well, as I'm sure that plays a part in how your body responds to these things.
i am a gym goer and had one of the severest reactions of anyone i know. from what i understand the severity of initial side effects is mostly an indication of the strength of your innate immune response, but that initial inflammatory response has not been linked to the slower adaptive immune response, which is where the money-making long-term antibody protection happens. innate immune response is just your body reflexively trying to burn out what it believes is a massive coronavirus infection.
so them without any side effects just have weaker innate immune system responses (this is also why generally speaking the elderly have milder side effects than younger people), but no evidence it impacts the efficacy of the vaccine.
it's been a while since molecular biology tho BG doctors and nurses feel free to step in
But I’m probably immune to a ton of shit having been a military test subject for vaccines for 10+ years.
Fat mid 40s white guy checking in. Had just a sore arm for both moderna shots
