That's hardly remaster though, more like a small adjustment. Even RPG Maker enthusiasts / artists can probably do better.

I just don't know who these are for. You already have the trash mobile versions for people who want a downgrade on a cell phone.

I guess the V remake makes sense for those who want to actually play a 30 year old game without 3 minute load screens like the PSX anthology, lol

It's because everyone keeps calling the mobile ports trash. They're (theoretically) correcting that.
Presently, if you want to play the best versions, you need to have a PSP for I, II, & IV, a fan translated/patched NES ROM for III, and a sound patched GBA ROM for V and VI.

And while the new sprites aren't great, they are better than mobile versions.

Of course it was too good to be true. The sad thing though? The FF5/6 sprite sets are still a huge upgrade over the mobile ones.

Yeah, that's why the mobile ports are trash, among other things. How the fuck do you downgrade from SNES-era sprites? Good God, I hate mobile games.

I'm still confused why they thought that was a good idea. The FF1/2/4 PSP games had wonderful sprites and then we get these flat, pastel looking things which look like a ton of copy/paste from some RPG Asset cllection.

I will say, the enemy sprites in the FF6 Mobile version are pretty awesome, just the character sprites are dogshit.
