Co-op is pretty simple. You create a room that 2 others can join and they control the party members during the missions. All healing spells are dungeon wide and killing enemies with the soul burst increases everyone's MP bar too. You revive party members with potions or they can use a shared stock of Phoenix Downs to revive themselves. Everyone has their own loot, so you don't gotta worry about someone being a loot black hole either. Any party member not controlled by someone else just functions how it does normally in solo play.

Short game overall but I can see why some people just keep playing for the fun of it. And I can def see why casual/story mode exist lol.

I ended up ordering a PS4 copy since it was on sale for $25. Hopefully that version isn't too visually gimped, but I doubt my current PC could do that much better given some struggles I've heard on people with stronger GPUs.
They're done with the game at this point as far as DLC/patches, right? Nothing new announced? Normally I wait for the typical S-E DLC-bundled re-release but I doubt that'll happen here.
Cheaper for me buying PS4 physical+season pass this way vs. getting Deluxe version on Steam by nearly 50%.

[EDIT] Well, got my copy, went and beat the first stage after Advent punched my face in quite a few times on Action. I knew up front the game was going to be blurry on PS4, but damn, even on my small 720p display here next to my PC setup, it's still quite blurry on performance mode.

[EDIT2] All the updates seem to do was fix the AA solution from being a jaggy mess (I have slow internet/don't leave PS4 in standby mode), and probably helps it maintain above 720p more often in performance mode (I can't tell on my display). Did they reduce the volume on soul bursting too? That shit was way too loud. At least it doesn't look so much like an ugly launch-era PS3 game now on base PS4.

Am coming to really like the game though, and it knows to not waste my time with too much story shit so I can just keep on destroying mobs and leveling jobs. Only real complaint I'd have with it so far is that you can't pull the camera through the wall with how frequently it shoves you into tight corridor encounters. Might actually have to check out Nioh 1/2 at some point (already have them via PS+) since this game is supposedly just an FF reskin of those.
