The most bizarre thing about that tweet is that it indicates he must not have a no-move.
So maybe this is me being biased buuuuuuut on Parise and Suter being bought out, Minnesota's current GM is Bill Guerin, a former hockey player who probably took a few shots to the head given the era he played in, and probably didn't really make an effort in college either for the 2 years he played there...sooooooo yeaaaaaaah, just gonna chalk it up to having a CTE brain damaged former hockey player in charge being the reason why those moves were made >_>
Damn, Kevan Miller retired. He is 33. The injuries were just too much, but man that guy was a beast when healthy.
Rumour that Weber might not be protected by the habs he seems to be hurt so much that he might miss the full season and maybe more
Panthers buying out the last 2 years of Keith Yandle's contract
Obligatory: SOOOOOOONK
Bruins accrued almost 2M in bonus overages this year because of their playoff run. Ouch.
Didnt Weber have a career threatening injury 2 years ago tho? Thats my only concern with this.
I dont doubt that he is banged up, but part of me thinks this is potential pandering to leave him exposed so we can keep Chiarot and Edmundson.
People thinking habs are doing with Weber what bolts did with kucherov lol
So I only started watching NHL after the Golden Knights became a thing, how does an expansion team work? My mom said they can draft anyone from other teams but other teams can protect a good chunk of their amazing talent?
That's the poor man's way. It has evolved since teams like the Sharks, Ottawa, Tampa, etc have entered in where teams would literally sign a beer league goalie, let him play a game, then have him be the exposed goalie for the draft.
Teams now have to expose X amount of players per position. They only get so many protected slots. Plus players on your team with a no move clause HAVE to be protected. Part of why Vegas was so successful is that they took advantage of the rules. Oh hey, I see you have that player you want to get rid of with a shitty contract. Tell you what, We'll take him off your hands for a couple of draft picks, or this other player we would rather have.
I’ll post a link for you in a bit that’s explains it all p easily
