Honestly, I'd call hiring strippers and such "doing it right" if you want to perv with co-workers off the clock. The obvious snag is either forcing people to come along or threatening punishment if they don't.

On top of this we have why WC3 sucked ass:

Snowball rolling faster and faster to hell
That's pretty much it.
I have no clue how people can do that. To me it would just feel awkward as hell.
Man I barely want to eat when someone else touches my food with their utensil, much less eating it off of their body. Yuck.
Strippers are gross too why would anyone pay them to do that and why would they do it.
I don't mind the hiring of strippers either, but knowing the quality of people on the exec board, I bet those strippers got a lot more than they bargained for that night.
I'm sure they can handle a bunch of nerds who think they're rockstars.
Most of your executive class isnt nerds. They only care about the dollar signs and it's a good old boys club.
Money and power makes you think you can get away with anything.

I just learned about this lawsuit today browsing a meme on Reddit. I mentioned in spam cuz I didn't see it here, but I used to work at the DFEH (the state agency that is handling the lawsuit) in the legal division and I am very familiar with the law they operate under and enforce (the California FEHA) if anyone has any questions.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how fucked is ActiBlizz?
Depends how much do they want to double down on "tHiS iS wHy eLoN MuSk LeFt CaLiFoRnIa"?
This culture would definitely qualify as a "hostile work environment" if what we are hearing is true. ActiBlizz should know this. And the DFEH will settle if ActiBlizz is willing to actually play ball privately. I mean they will obviously be hit with a large judgment and be forced into all sorts of harassment and culture training, etc.
But if their negotiation stance is the same as their public stance, and these allegations are even remotely true, they are in for a world of hurt. This is not some small time plaintiff attorney ambulance chaser situation where the lawyers are looking for a quick payday and are incentivized to avoid trial. They won't win a war of attritition. The DFEH trial costs are funded in its budget and there is also a war chest that is funded by previous settlements and judgments (when the DFEH represents someone and sues on their behalf, they get the judgment; when the DFEH sues as part of the state just to punish someone, the DFEH gets a slice)
The California FEHA is far more protective than the national standards of Title VII to boot.
Been watching some chucklefucks in the D3 forum trying to argue it's just CA trying to extort money from Blizzard because lol-leftism. "This is why #MeToo was important" thoughts aside, my ultimate concern was that Blizz would just throw money at litigation until things disappeared because the other side's wallet couldn't keep up. Nonetheless, the usual right-wing anti points crept in, alongside a peculiar claim that the middle class is suffering because of laws that have sprung up over discrimination and harassment as some definite strawman whataboutism. Lot of it just reeks of idol worship, but the usual concern that people still think like that tells me we have a long, long, long way to go as a society.
Mike Morhaime weighs in.
On the one hand, the statement seems sincerely apologetic and soundly condemns the behaviors detailed in the report. On the other hand, it reads as very... mechanical? I don't know how to put it, but something just feels off about his statement. The thing immediately jumped out at me was the repeated usage of the word "experiences" when talking about the abuse. I don't know, maybe I'm just jaded as fuck. I already know I have trust issues.
I will say, though, that posts like this do a lot to assuage the trepidation I felt after reading Mike's statement.
