Activision Blizzard about to be Activision.
Activision Blizzard about to be Activision.
Jay leaves with a multi million dollar bonus and gets to divert some attention to the new blood. What a gambit, no one could have seen it coming.
https://www.dexerto.com/business/t-m...wsuit-1623566/In the wake of Activision Blizzard’s ongoing discrimination lawsuit, it appears that the Call of Duty League and Overwatch League have quietly lost their formerly prominent T-Mobile partnership.

SVP and lead of the company's HR, Jesse Meschuk, has also left the company.
Activision COO Fran Townsend has deleted her Twitter account in response to the backlash.
At the risk of being Valisk'd because I'm not gonna backtrack the thread, sounds like shareholders are also suing Blizzard for not informing them the were being investigated by CA over the past couple years.
More sponsors reportedly leaving OWL:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/video...ors-overwatch/Coca-Cola and State Farm are reassessing partnerships with Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League, according to statements provided by both companies.
Oh no! My consequences!
And another:
https://www.polygon.com/22613315/ove...izzard-lawsuitAnother sponsor has pulled its endorsement from Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League. On Friday, the Kellogg Co. confirmed that it “will not be moving forward” with OWL partnership programs this year.
Only sponsors left are Coke (which will probably be gone soon based on that earlier report), Xfinity, and Teamspeak.
I'm all for financial consequences (cause let's be honest, those are some of the few that are going to matter), but I feel bad for the OWL players, commentators, and people who work to put on the league.
I remember reading a few years ago how OWL teams are not profitable and the league is heavily dependent on sponsors/the promise of future success. All the players and people who have put time into the league could end up getting screwed because Blizzard's management is full of terrible people.
Well if Activision manages to survive this it seems like OWL is dead. Which I won't be to bummed about since OWL was the beginning of the decline for the game IMO
Ironically, Bobby Kotick is part of the Coca Cola board of directors. Lol
