Yes, and the name therefore is a sore spot with people, especially with how fresh the allegations are

California Accuses Activision Blizzard Of Shredding Abuse Evidence
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/calif...220500529.html
Shredding documents related to harassment cases is always a bad, baaaad look.
inb4 it was an "accident" and the interns have been fired.
Reminds me of the "But who would blow up South Galaxy?!!!" Paragus defense in the Broly Abridged movie.
Please please please tell me they got the receipts on Bobby orchestrating the shredding...

No surprise a company that employs a torture apologist would subscribe to the Regan/North paper shredder defense.

Hey they just announced they're changing McCrees name, so everythings fixed now. Glad this is all behind us.
They really did?
Grain of salt

But, but the character had nothing to do with this! /s
They didn't. Either way good luck appeasing the crowd you're catering to, Blizzard. Those batshit crazy lunatics are never satisfied
Blizzard can't even appease its more normal fans. You abandon the game for a fucking year with 0 development outside of balance changes? Drop from 2 tanks to 1? The list goes on.
Blizzard struggles to appease any fan, much less the ultra-woke.
To be fair, this change was also probably done for the developers too, so they don't have a constant reminder in their faces about one of their terrible former coworkers (or at least an attempt at that).
Good point, but leave it to fans to assume everything is about them.
Honestly I question what kind of crew the game even had in its prime. It just felt like shit took forever to get out. Maybe it's because I'm so accustomed to TF2 and the very little of CS:GO I played but those games had so much better QoL stuff that OW was severely lacking. Namely level selection instead of being thrown into a random.
Okay yeah I could see that
There was an interview with Kaplan around the time that OW2 was announced that made it sound like a lot of the team started work on OW2 after the first year.
Which makes it even more mind-blowing how the sequel is reportedly so far from release.
I'm more surprised they thought a sequel in that short of a time frame was a good idea since some characters still didn't even have a comic/movie/etc.
