Trades starting to happen
Brooklyn traded Landry Shamet to Phoenix for Javon Carter and the 29th pick.
Looks like Lakers will be sending Kuzma and Harrell (and maybe a draft pick) to the Kangz for Buddy Hield

gottem
The original rumors was Harrell, the pick, and either Kuzma OR KCP and now it's all of them?
Goddamn, Lakers really desperate for some shooting.
Edit : and at the same time apparently they're trying to trade for Westbrook
Also I misread y'all's posts, fuck me
Carter was next to useless so i like Shamet's shooting in theory, but he was truly horrific these playoffs. not much of a playmaker so he can't take Payne's spot as a backup point, not sure he's much more playable than Galloway or Moore as a backup SG. eh.
and i kinda get the thought given Russ is a dynamo and AD / Bron need as much rest as possible given their age / injuries. things will get pretty cramped tho KCP was their premier 3&D guy and Kuzma was a serviceable stretch 4.
also wonder if Beal demands a move with Russ gone / who goes in on Schroeder.
Rubio deserves better
hopefully this means sexton is going to the Knicks

Westbrook to Lakers trade is done
Raptors what is you doin
Jalen Suggs replacing Lowry is the most obvious draft selection in yeara
Westbrook (44 mil)+Lebron (41 mil)+AD (35 mil) alone puts the Lakers 9 million over the 2021 salary cap
They'll probably be paying Luol Deng more this year then any other active player on their roster outside of those 3
Ah shit Kispert is still available, PLZ don't let me down Dubs
Edit : fuck
i wonder what the wizards plan on doing with beal now
Apparently the plan is to extend him. Saw a blip earlier that they were going to try to get Dinwiddie.
Meanwhile I'm really wondering how the fuck Lakers are gonna build their roster. LeBron is the best shooter they have under contract (their signed players right now is literally just their big 3 + Gasol). They very clearly need ALOT of shooting help and I'm pretty sure their only options are 2 exceptions and then 9 min roster spots.
They can go over the cap to resign their own agents, then they have their exceptions.
So...
Westbrick, LeBron, AD, Gasol + THT, Caruso + 2x Exceptions + 1+ Veteran Minimum Scraps
lol, over the past 4 seasons, Westbrook is a worse 3-point shooter on more attempts than Giannis.
LOL @the Spurs first pick is someone not even at the draft.
Pacers traded 4 second rounders for the Bucks 31st pick?
