It is a fantasy novel roughly 112k words long (for comparison, first harry potter book is 85k). It is currently only available for review by e-book.

A Shattered World

When a monumental calamity destroyed the moon and brought Earth to ruin, the human race found itself nearly pushed to extinction. Survivors limped on through new dark ages and bloody wars, their former glory always out of reach, for their shattered world now belongs to creatures able to condense millennia’s worth of evolution into a single generation and humankind hangs on to what little hope remains.
After Taoru saves a stranger, he quickly finds himself on a journey that could bring humanity back from the brink. Rejected by his village, he sets out to redeem himself and piece the world back together. But as he, Van, and unlikely companion Shirasa head east, they find it's not only the dangerous creatures known as gen they must watch out for, but religious zealots, deadly terrain, and something much darker and far more sinister than anyone could know.

So there are two things I discovered when formatting this book last night; one was there were a handful of misspellings that the app caught for me, 2 the way I tried to put in the map, while seemingly worked, is noticeably wonky if your device is in night mode. Both of those issues have been fixed for the retail version.

Also, kindle version is up for preorder on Amazon now, and man, I’m so low on the algorithm I had to put in the book title and my name to find it lol

There will be a paperback as well, but I’m still currently working on formatting that over since it’s a whole different thing than ebook.

Finished ch1. Enjoyable premise thus far but there's a few things I noticed. I would grammatically restructure small portions to be more cohesive.

Lol thanks. It’s been difficult to finish with a kid and a new house and job change that’s pushed me into 6p-6a shift. Everything else had to go. Haven’t touched a video game in a year and a half except for Pokémon Snap.

So, a learned mistake with Amazon, I had put the ebook on a release for the 19th. Then I made the paperback version. It apparently decided to release immediately. So, hey! Paperback version is out now on Amazon, and the ebook version is out on the 18th (earliest I could change it to.

The biggest trouble I’m having is marketing. I’m not good at it. I’ve always stayed away from most social media. Didn’t even have Facebook until I met my now-wife. I had someone who was going to help with it, but then that didn’t work out. Had I known that, I would have just started putting out queries for an editor/agent. And between my 2 year-old, working night shift, and my wife starting her new job (1st since having the kid,) there is just so little time.
