J6 subpoena's infamous self-professed Nazi Nick Fuentes stating that he was around the Capitol on that date.
Sidney Powell says she will cooperate with the Committee and sit for questions.

With congress like it is, No. His wife could try to kill Biden and say he put her up to it, and he would still be sitting on that court.
It's possible for SCOTUS judges to be impeached and removed but it requires a Senate supermajority (67/100). Optimistically Dems could increase their majority to 52-54 in 2023, even if they magically won every 2022 Senate race they would be at 66 still one short. It's not impossible someday in the next decade Dems regain a supermajority but that old fucker will probably die before then. There are controversial legal theories about removing judges "in good behavior" that could possibly mean not being involved in crimes such as perjury. But those are pretty grey. Otherwise balancing the court to just nullify them.

Thanks for the detailed version of Yabby's answer (no sarcasm). I'm disappointed, but not surprised.
So much news lately, Twitter had an outage yesterday so I skipped it. Biggest news is that Politico has the actual draft document Trump was planning to use to SIEZE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY'S VOTING MACHINES on December 16th. The article states that staff may have talked him out of it but this is pretty fucking terrifying that we were so close to things being even worse. Ambiguities emerge about who exactly ordered the National Guard to clear out the Capitol. Testimony and the J6 Committee state that Trump did nothing, and did not request them. Appears as though some Captain Planet-like combination of the VP and both Democrat and Republican House/Senate leaders may have persuaded the Guard to finally make the move. Finally one of the Capitol police officers of the FOUR who commit suicide appears to be connected to the Russians, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort.

Jesus fucking Christ.
Not much Jan 6 news today, just Newt Ginrich saying that Republicans will put the Committee members in jail with an assist from child sex trafficker Matt Gaetz. That's not how that works but... live your life Newt.

Newt Gingrich was so much younger than I thought he was back in the 90s.
Newt was 46 when he was born.
Newt is a senile pile of shit.
He's not wrong though, if/when the GOP takes the house this fall, they will absolutely start recommending criminal investigations against J6 committee members (after disbanding the committee) nonstop. When they retake the White House in 2024 they'll act on them.
I'm not sure why people don't seem to be taking them seriously when they tell you what they're going to do once they achieve the authoritarian dystopia they're shooting for.
Oh no I absolutely believe them, I'm just trying to repress the rage their tired shit makes me feel.
Mop some floors and it'll take your mind off of the rage.
Too busy mopping up the mess from unvaccinated patients.
I don't think its that people aren't taking them seriously, its just that the last few years (since at least 2016) have taught us that Repubs are basically immune from consequence, aside from the ones like Herman Cain who died of COVID. That's illness, though. Legal consequences? Nah.
