Family all clear here, including everyone else we interact with locally (3 other families). I figure it's only time though given the mask mandate was dropped awhile back and hardly anyone in public stores are still using them to mitigate ease of transmission.
Been waiting on an omicron variant booster for awhile, since the current shots seem to do fuck-all last I looked into it.
I'm fully vaxed. If I ever got it, I was completely asymptomatic, but I assume I never did.
I have an uncle that was a breakthrough case, but I don't personally know any covid deaths though.
My wife had long covid prior to vaccines rolling out (she's a teacher and her school never stopped, and at no point required masks for kids but she's been wearing one the entire time) and I tested positive for antibodies but never positive on a covid test.
Out of my immediate family my parents both just got it last week, sister and her boyfriend had it, but my brother and sister in law haven't gotten it. So we're sitting at 6/8. Pretty much everyone on my wife's side of the family has had it, so if we include them that's 14/16 (not including nieces and nephews who have all had it).
As far as we're aware my wife and I were the only ones who had it prior to vaccines coming out and everyone above is vaccinated and boosted, so thankfully everyone who's had it has been pretty mild besides my wife. She's all better now thankfully, but she had a rough couple of months in fall 2020.
On the other hand, my landlord never had covid symptoms or tested positive for covid. But now she has started claiming she has long covid anytime she wants to be lazy and take her time doing something.
Kill yourself you anti-vax piece of shit.

sample size seems a bit slim
itd be dope if they could make a traditional vax for it, that like, actually prevents you from getting the disease for years, not just prevents serious illness or death, which is nice and all, but like damn get it together already
They can't do that for the flu and they won't be able to do it for this either
itd be dope if they could though
Ya, but they won't
There's never been a sterilizing vaccine for any coronavirus afaik
The fact we made one for COVID at all was and remains a medical milestone
Probably need a nasal vaccine for a chance at sterilizing but development of them has been woefully underfunded for some stupid reason.
at least people have stopped calling it the 'rona jfc
