Based.
Off-topic, but can we please put these huge image posts behind spoiler tags? I appreciate the posts, but I'm also lazy and hate having to scroll through them trying to find the first unread post when checking the thread (usually not logged in).
it is distressing to me as a native of Howdy Arabia/Republic of Douchebagistan, that the texas thread and this one have so much overlap.

Yeah, this is a huge fucking story that deserves significantly more press than it's getting. It has a chance of affecting more women than the Dobbs decision. And if we allow a precedent where activist judges that take cases that were shopped to them and allow them oversight to this extent in similar cases...it's going to get very dark very quickly in legal circles. I wouldn't be surprised if elected officials begin to flat out ignore rulings and dare someone to do something about it. I mean, it sort of already happens, but I could see a situation where Biden just completely ignores this ruling and the 5th circuit's ruling and directs the FDA to continue the status quo. This is such an abhorrent overreach and has such a wide and sweeping affect on the entire nation, I literally cannot believe it happened. When this story came out months ago, never thought it'd happen. Even with the most activist of activist judge, I thought...nah, revoking a med that's been on the market for decades...that can't happen.
I honestly feel that between this, the Tennessee statehouse shit, and all the book bannings and anti-LGBTQ laws getting passed, shit is gonna snap back hard. You can only start stripping away rights for so long in undemocratic fashion before you reach the violence stage of uprising.
I wish I shared your faith, but I don't. They have enough ways to break the rules and rig the system on a State/local level that this'll happen forever.
Oh stop we all know what's going to happen when all is said in done.

"The pastor has also been accused of taping three 13-year-old boys’" was a sentence that could have ended a lot worse than "mouths shut"
right lol
Sounds like someone should've gotten an abortion nearly 23 years ago.

Ohio voters will vote on enshrining the right to an abortion into the Ohio state constitution in November, and today shot down a Republican attempt to require that vote to hit 60% to pass.
The Ohio legislature passed an abortion ban but a judge ruled it unconstitutional so it's currently legal there but tenuous. This November should clear things up.
