That's Zealot's birthday, he took the day off and will play all day baybay.
Hit Platinum! It's the second best frame of the placement frames imo. Now to push for diamond and crystal for the overall best frame
I'm an idiot. How do I make my profile plate thing show up in pvp? Ive set it for my adventurer plate but it still just shows the default when I start a fight
Set it as instant plate in the adventurer plate contextual menu.
PVP is a clusterfuck of pure chaos. I love it even though I have no clue what I am doing.
Read your tooltips like you read your pve tooltips, some jobs enhance abilities and weaponskills with limit break active.
Also, figure out each job's role.
For instance, DRG largely is to cause chaos getting in and out and doing good damage.
MCH on the other hand really has a sniper feel. Playing from distance and looking for chances to pick off people.
WAR is almost all about crowd control, BLM too.
PLD is a living wall on the point, usually the last person you want to kill because it takes a lot to kill.
Finally. Ty lol
I feel it's a really good time to get into PVP right now, the abilities were once again revamped and refined. Now all classes have like 8 buttons and some common buttons. Before, it was less refined with a few more than 8 buttons (a few which were combos).
In its initial stage, it was just PVP with PVE abilities and each class had special abilities.
Then it's dedicated abilities with a string of selectable unique abilities
Now I feel it's very refined and each class has a personality, as Kaslo points out above
I've been doing RDM and getting carried. Besides the general chaos trying to fight against my muscle memory is also an uphill battle. I had all my spells on my first hotbar and melee attacks/OCDs on the second but because of how simplified it is with PVP actions I got all my offensive attacks on my first hotbar so going from Shift 1 + Shift 2 + Shift 3 to 3 + 3 + 3 is a hard habit to break.
Made it to Diamond! and more than a month to get to Crystal for the OP frame!

I'm stuck in gold hell atm.
I had tried switching to something more meta like RDM/WHM and it just was not feeling right, went back to MCH and just started slaying. I think it's all about finding the job that fits your playstyle.
Welp Xeno has already cleared phase 1 of the new ultimate, looks pretty damn cool
How much of a step up in difficulty are ultimates compared to extreme?
Well after clearing phase 1 they immediately wiped and it seems clearing phase 1 is now a checkpoint, which I believe is a first for ultimates.
It depends on which one. UWU is pretty much a bunch of extreme trials in a row. The rest are a bit of a step upward. UWU>UCOB>TEA easiest to most difficult imo. UCOB/TEA are probably swapped for some. But UWU has been done in under 12 minutes in patch 6.0.
