Your top 5 ENTIRE Albums from the 90's List

List your top 5 Albums from the 90's, the catch is, the entire album has to be good. You could just put the CD on and let it play all the way through and then loop back around.

    In no particular order:

    1.) Metallica: The Black Album
    2.) Fugees: The Score
    3.) Marilyn Manson: Antichrist Superstar
    4.) Snoop Dogg: Doggystyle
    5.) Pearl Jam: Ten

runner up/just missed the top 5: Nirvana: Nevermind.

googling popular 90s bands i definitely owned a shit ton of 90s albums back in the day for sure

nirvana, pearl jam, metallica, radiohead, smashing pumpkins, green day, stone temple pilots, bush, offspring, soundgarden, foo fighters, alice in chains, nine inch nails, red hot chili peppers, rage against the machine, garbage, no doubt, korn, guns n roses, u2, oasis, limp bizkit, pantera, blur, live, third eye blind, tool, tea party, silverchair, moist, and i'm sure there's a crap ton more

I was a major metalhead in the 90s sooooo

    Alice in Chains : Dirt
    Megadeth : Rust in Peace
Madonna : The Immaculate Collection (yeah it's a greatest hit album, but it came out in the 90s)
    Metallica : Metallica
Rage Against the Machine : Rage Against the Machine

Just missing the cut would be Dr Dre : The Chronic and NIN : The Fragile, and Nirvana Unplugged

My desert island mix would basically be RATM's debut album with Like a Prayer slapped on at the end. That could sustain me for eternity.

Absolutely no idea, I can't think of a single album from the 90s I listened to the entire way through or would remember every song from.

hard to separate albums i loved in the 90s from those from the 90's i still love today. Pumpkins album has to make the list but i barely listen to them today. soundtrack of my god damn adolescence. be two different lists tbh.

Adding in the entire album has to be good throws a wrench in it for me. No particular order

    1. Live: Throwing Copper
    2. Cypress Hill: Black Sunday
    3. Metallica: Black Album
    4. Weird Al Yankovik: Alapalooza
    5. Garbage: Self titled

Honorable mentions that missed the cut by a year or had one or two songs that did nothing for me

    NIN: pretty hate machine
    Bush: Sixteen Stone
Megadeth: Cryptic Writings (my introduction to them)
    Sevendust: Home
    Bad Religion: Stranger than fiction

1989 so misses the cut, but was easily the first album I bought that every single track was a banger.

Our most common picks between multiple people seems to be Metallica: The Black Album (Metallica).

    Gonna try;

    Pearl Jam, Ten

    Metallica, Black Album

    Ready to Die, Notorious B.I.G.

    Uhhhhh

Seconding Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Smashing Pumpkins, even though I can't tell you the last time I listened to them today I remember that being huge when I was 13/14.

That's probably the best I can do. Maybe Illmatic? Or Weezer, that 5th choice is gonna be highly mood dependent.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Too lazy to make a list, but The Cranberries definitely goes on there for me. I totes listened to their whole album (both of them actually) without skipping a song.

Don’t think they were the best band, but if you liked one song you probably liked them all.

5 isn't anywhere near enough. I can tell you which ones I listened to the most back then, but that has no bearing now. It's hard to rank them above each other.

huge metallica fan. i will not be putting the black album on my list

here is my list, i might edit it as i remember stuff. pretty sure these were my five most played albums from start to finish

    nirvana: unplugged
    nirvana: in utero
    nine inch nails: downward spiral
    radiohead: ok computer
    sublime: sublime DONT JUDGE ME

honorable mentions no one else said so far unless i missed something:

green day: dookie/nimrod (dookie has higher ceiling songs but nimrod is probably better all the way through)
less than jake: losing streak (doesn’t have anything “skippable” but some are meh)
rage against the machine: evil empire (never cared for revolver but the rest of the album is strong)
tool: aenima (knock is the fill between some songs but every actual song is gold)
system of a down: system of a down (i consider this more of a 2000s album although it was released in 98)
    pearl jam: yield (also 98)

enter sandman is a bad song. the god that failed is far superior and should have been their first single (or sad but true, but that eventually was a single)

if you don’t agree with statement two, i would like to reiterate statement one: enter sandman sucks
