It could go a few ways, like new characters not seen in the original run. I agree not signing JYB would be bad, and he's certainly willing to do it (and reprise Ichigo in Bleach for that matter), but sometimes studio politics sucks.

Thinking back, I technically watched anime in middle school, but I didn't even know it. Just was hanging out with a weird girl. When I got to college, a friend of mine handed me his Trigun DVD and told me I had to watch it. And that's what I credit as my first ever anime (technically had seen some DBZ on TV but didn't watch it much)

I hope this does the show justice.

Trigun was such a memorable series to me. Like, I think most no-kill heroes are kinda BS compared to Vash because Vash actually tries to administer first aid to people he injures.

Also, the phrase “You have to kill spiders save butterflies” still sticks with me to this day.

Ever since FMA Brotherhood redid their whole series, I've always wanted Trigun to have their own manga readapted to follow it more closely. Is that what this is supposed to be?

I won't rehash people's hesitations due to it being 3D CGI, but I did youtube a few clips of Beastars and houseki no kuni. I will say I'll give the animation a chance, but I'm not a huge fan of the action scenes in particular in how they are edited/blocked/coreographed. Perhaps its just because it's a style I've not grown accustomed to. (houseki no kuni does actually look like it might be interesting enough to watch, though, so I might try and check hat out some time.)
