I suspect you'll naturally get resistance from those who think the game's GCD is too slow and the removal of the 1-2-3 blah would just accelerate the boredom of having nothing to do. Some accounting would need to happen for branching paths, Monk in particular, but with how much priority the game puts on positioning, minimizing the stress of maintaining ability uptime would be a net win for the community at large. Then again, you're also going to have the gatekeepers that think not having 20+ step rotations is baby's game.
