contrast that to the lakers basically torching goat 1b's last few good years because jeanie didn't feel like caruso was worth it, and the rest of their braindead front office thought trading for westbrook was the play
gs is doing exactly what they should be doing. if the team's still intact, you have to continue to max out your championship equity when you have a once in a lifetime player, even if the costs are, well, costly. anything else wouldn't just be stupid, it'd be lakers stupid.
verdad. they hadn't won a title since the 70s, and the money will repay itself with another chip / team evaluation. could well repeat, drop the money. don't be the '99 Bulls
yeah
money spent with a good plan and clear vision is good money spent. and if it doesn't work out, GS is a smart enough organization to know how to move those guys in the future. can't say the same about most other teams, and if the team in comparison is the knicks, then i would most certainly not say the same about them.
THE KNICKS DEALS WERE NOT BAD OKAY

The other teams complain that going that far over the cap isn’t fair but I don’t see them rejecting their shares.
Different sport, but the Padres have clearly shown that "small market" teams can spend to compete if they want to.
Meanwhile we see stuff like the Lakers winning the title then immediately cheaping out on their roster.
Barkley signed a new 10 year deal with TNT after saying for years he was going to retire at 60 (which is next year)
Actually looks the entire Inside the NBA crew got signed to new deals
What's in the water in Charlotte?
