KD and Kyrie seem to be under the impression that the Nets have done them dirty because they don't want to give Kyrie's unreliable ass an extension.

Harden signed a new 1 and 1 with the Sixers for $15 mil less this season than what he was set to make before opting out.
Seems the Nets are waiting on Kyrie trades til they trade KD. KD wants both teams to keep the majority of their cores when trading for him, meaning he's probably going to another team or the Nets aren't going to care and will ship him where they please for whatever they can get out of the Heat/Suns.
Spoiler: show
61.4 million dollars on the 5th year of his contract, of course he is!
mitchell to the knicks rumors are heating up, idk how to really feel tbh
nabbing a star player is never a bad thing but if it includes losing rj/obi/quickley then i'll be kinda sad as a brunson/mitchell backcourt feels like a poor man's cj/dame experiment
def contingent on what you'd be giving up, idk if any kind of deal around Obi/Quickley/Grimes could do it without RJ
that backcourt would be ugly defensively but if you can somehow add Donovan to RJ / Randle / Robinson you got a whole lotta talent in the starting 5
the knicks tradition of amassing as many guards as possible somehow might resurface again. you know, after a stint of acquiring as many PF's as possible.
Ayton to the Pacers for 4/133M, Suns have two days to match the offer if they want to keep him.
gotta match
rip to the dream of KD either way
Sarver ain't gonna match shit, they're only in this situation because of him being a cheapskate last off season
fuck robert sarver
ya u do
if Ayton walks for nothing there's no salary cap ability to replace him next year. with CP3 looking at 38 that's probably it for this window of contention.
despite the catastrophe last season this was still a team only 2 wins away from a chip + Bridges and Book are 25, Ayton 23. reasonable to assume they all still have growth left, maybe enough to get to the promised land.
Sarver notoriously sucks so he might well say fuck em but team would be on the way out, only a core of Booker and Bridges going forward.
ya, you have to match if you want to maintain your assets. like if there was something in the CBA about the suns getting some type of recompense for letting a FA go (like compensatory draft picks in the NFL, or idk, something like the traded player exception where you could take back a player in a trade for the value of the salary that had originally gone out), then it's not a total loss.
but there is nothing like that and as mentioned, paul won't be around for too much longer at his age so you just need to maintain your young core, hope all three of those guys develop into the next tier and just get the right pieces to surround them.
Damn I was going to make a good Frank Kaminsky joke but apparently he just signed with the Hawks
so anyway the Suns cupboard is about to be truly barren at C
