2022 MLB Playoff Thread - Padres, Phillies and Mets didn't completely fuck it up edition

For the first time in what feels like years, we have a pretty compelling playoff set this year.

The Padres, Phillies and Mets, despite their best attempts, still managed to implode their way into the wild card games. For the second year in a row now, we also have a 100+ game winning wild card team, who if they get past the Padres, get a date with the Dodgers instead.

We also get one last ride with Pujols and Molina, and lets be honest, I'd be shocked if Wainright doesn't retire as well.

On the AL Side, you have the Mariners breaking their playoff drought, Cleveland won the special olympics division, and New York finally remembered that the regular season counts and finally locked down a loaded AL East and the #2 seed.

On the bad news end, we have proof that there is a god, and he's vengeful as the Astro's and Dodgers both secured the #1 seed, and are the odds on favorites to meet each other in the world series.

Prediction time: Yankee's are going to get lucky and Seattle will knock out the Trashstro's, and represent the AL in the World Series. On the NL end, we will get another year of Playoff Kershaw and the Dodgers will get upset by the Mets, who will then immediately remember that they suck and get bent over by the Braves.

For the World Series, since the world hates Xno, the Braves are going to win, then 30 days later Judge will sign with the Giants for 15 years and 1 Billion dollars and lead us to 15 straight world series titles before taking over as MLB Commissioner.

Should be a good match-up between Castillo and Manoah I think. It's gonna come down to whether or not Gausman can pitch.
