Peter King stated it came down to Dolphins @ Chargers, Eagles @ Giants, and Bucs @ Niners, but Fox had Eagles @ Giants protected. No mention of NYJ vs Buffalo, but maybe this Jets beat writer has more information than Peter King.

I also thought cbs burned their flex protection on Chiefs/Bills, but could be misremembering. I've been up nearly 2 days.

I was looking at the schedule yesterday and said to my coworker

Me - "damn I bet we're about to see a Mahomes game get flexed out of primetime"

Him - "why? Are they playing the broncos?”

And lo and behold here we are (we also figured that the Cowboys game would be protected, which looks on the money too, clearly we watch too much football)

the cowboys have been flexed out once in the history of the nfl... and it took their starting qb losing his foot, the team looking the worst it's looked since they went 1-15 in 1989, and the nfc east all having losing records.

every year some boys game is the most watched game of the year. people "hate" the cowboys but everyone watches the cowboys. they don't get flexed out
