The prime time games this weekend are a bit of a stinker, but we begin the season of playoff scenarios and meaningful games this week! the vikings (division) and eagles (playoff spot) are the first teams able to clinch playoff spots this year with wins and some losses by other teams this week
we also have some actual interesting games between playoff hopefuls this week
tonight: bills v pats. the bills are in good shape, but not a lock to be in yet by any means; pats really need a win to keep pace with the jets/bengals/chargers of the world for the last playoff spot
sunday: WTF v giants. the winner of this game gets to 8 wins and will be in great shape. giants probably need the win more with two games against the eagles still on the horizon. a loss doesn’t eliminate either team, but will make it more difficult. yes im aware of what i did to the washington acronym
titans v eagles. both look to be playoff teams (and probably division winners). interesting matchup of a perpetually crippled team and the best running back in football against a suspect run defense. aj brown revenge game?
dolphins v 49ers: mike mcdaniel/jeff wilson/raheem mostert revenge game? also a matchup of two division leaders both on an upward trajectory
bengals vs chiefs: two current playoff teams and a rematch of last years AFC championship. joe burrow.
non-playoff related (?): texans v browns: obviously the return of desean watson, revenge game against the texans front office that enabled him then turned on him the instant shit hit the fan. browns have a pretty easy schedule with division games lumped in, so could be interesting down the road if they get off to a good start here.
anyway, here’s hoping diggs sucks tonight, for no reason
