nooby HQ tier question

Sorry if this is a basic Q, but I'm a bit confused as a newly qualified level 110 cook. I see some recipes on Wiki that are capped around 105-107 for example.. yet they quote an HQ3 result.

Now as I understood it the HQ tiers were at 11+ for tier 1, 31+ for tier 2 and 51+ for tier 3. Has this changed? Because how on earth does anyone get to be 51+ at 110 to make that HQ3?

Hey there, minor difference between HQ tiers and HQ chances. You can find the details here, but in short, HQ tiers are different from HQ chance tiers. The latter is being affected by your crafting level, the former isn't, meaning you can get an HQ3 result even if it's a tier 0 craft.
