    Curing Waltz III formula?

Hi guys... dunno if this is the right place to post this question.

I'm a returning player and I've recently been trying to make a CW3 build for both my BST and THF when /DNC.

I'm basically loading up on waltz potency and CHR gears. I noticed that in Dynamis tonight my BST was trying to cure for over 1K but yet my THF is crappy and only does about 600.

    Formula on BG Wiki is: ((CHR + VIT) /4) * 0.75) + 270.
I then add on my CW %age potency I assume?

But this isn't getting any where near the figures I'm seeing.

When I macro in my BST gear set my CHR is 315 and VIT is 234 with a CW potency of 26% on gear.

When I macro in my THF gears my CHR is 277 and VIT is 227 with a CW potency of 36% on gear.

So with those figures my THF should do a bit more, but it's just not working out like that. Far from it.

Am I doing this right? I can see the equipment swapping in on Windower, so it's not that.

The only thing that's different is that my BST .lua includes the CW gears but my THF one doesn't. And I'm crap at that programming so I made a script for THF using a /console exec "THF/filename.txt" command. And it swaps stuff in just fine. I even added a /wait 1 in just before the job ability line, in case that was the issue.

That formula is almost the one for DNC main, but you want:

    ((CHR+VIT)*0.375 + 270)*(potency)

    BST should be about 600
    THF should be about 624

If your BST was curing for 1k, that is the oddity, not the THF.

Yeah perhaps some buffs were skewing the BST figures. I really need to test that solo with no buffs. At least the way I'm working it out was right. Apart from the 0.375 for DNC sub.

    Thanks for the reply.

The precise details of the formula for Curing Waltz III can vary based on game updates and specific mechanics introduced by the developers. However, the general understanding is that the healing amount is a product of a base amount determined by level and Dexterity, multiplied by a modifier affected by current TP. Understanding these mechanics can help Dancers effectively use Curing Waltz III to support their party during battles in Final Fantasy XI.
