BCNM 40+50

I will go for BCNM 40 soon for Erase with some friends, what you think is easiest BCNM 40? The ppl that help me said Mandy (Giddeus),
and our planned PT settup will be
ME (WHM), PLD, RNG, BLM, RDM, any maybe a BRD helping us

what will be easiest BCNM 50 for these pepople? Or what PT setup is best for the easiest?

always WHM+ BLM+RDM+RNG or WHM+BLM+BLM+RNG i can take with me, plus i can get NIN or PLD and fill in a 6th person from my friendlist

Honestly? best PT i ever had for the mandy BC was mnk/war, mnk/war, mnk/war, brd/whm, rdm/blm, blm/whm (drk would probably be best instead of blm)

cleared it with ten or 15 minutes remaining, never had a problem

if you don't have a good BRD you're not going to beat Giddeus.

if you want Raise II, i suggest you do BCNM40 enough times and to get gil to buy it.

yes the two bard i know are very good lvl 75 and the other almost lvl 75!
so erm. i hv no need for PLD?

K. here i have 4 settups i can take all with almost best equip you can get but not me lol, well as whm i guess i dont need BEST

1.-->ME (WHM), PLD, RNG, BLM, RDM, BRD
2. -->WHM, WAR, WAR, BLM, BRD,RNG
3. -->WHM, MNK, WAR or PLD, BLM or RDM, BRD, RNG

or 4. -->WHM, 2x BST, BRD, RNG, PLD or WAR/NIN

the mandies don't hit that hard, you don't NEED a tank.

RNG/NIN have been known to tank them.

BST are awesome in BCNM.

a BLMs main job in BCNM is to heal.

um... of course nobody who spoke the english language knew any sort of strategy at the time, but i went 0-11 with bc40. so my advice will always be to save your seals for higher lvl bc's which i find easier

bcnm40's best erase drop rate is rumored to come from waughroon shrine

recommended pt for 15 worms and 1 NM is blm blm blm rng whm pld or blm blm rng rng whm pld. pld has some 50%-150% chance of dying depending on your whm's skill

I just recently did that fight, and as long as the BLM is competent and knows to toss Sleepga the second he sees things casting, you'll get out ok.

In addition, we were successful with no deaths with only five people, RNG RNG BLM WHM PLD, because we relied on the RNG's 2hrs. They were the only ones to two-hour during that fight as well.

As long as your BLM's enfeeble skill is maxed out, you'll get out just fine with a single BLM.

Will someone subbing Thief increase drop rate at BCNM too?
OK i think with the people about it again what we can do to get me Raise 2 and Erase and money for a staff, i got now only like 200 seals!
Berticus told me that this Franz guy in Palborough Mines is hard, but he drops better? Or any BCNM 50 i can go for Raise 2?

ive done the BCNM 40 with the worms hella times. and we've only lost once due to a gay mistake or something.

we had a blm, pld, rng, war/rng, whm, rdm or blm

kicked butt everytime. ^^ sleep the worms, pld attacks the main one, while rngs take off the regular worms one by one. after the main ones dead, its cake.

BCNMs have no drops. you open up a chest at the end that has 6 items.

its always 6 items THF or not, there's a set list of i think about 15-20 things that you can get (depending on the fight). whether the 6 things you get are worth gil is purely luck.

i just meant if the drop rate of for example erase will be higher then to be in the chest

Thanks for the tips. I'm about to try the BCNM40 a few times to help get my WHM friend his Erase scroll. I heard the best was RNG, RNG, BLM, BLM, WHM, PLD as well. I've also heard two BSTs can fight it. Thats impressive if it's true.

Anyone have an estimate on the % chance of Erase dropping? Getting the beastmen seals IMO is easy, but getting a competent team together for the fight is a pain in the ass. =P
