Marathon?

Hi, I just read the front page and it said that if you "marathon" the HNM the drops are better. Excuse my ignorance ^^;, but how do you "marathon"? Thanks in advance. Take care~

hmmm marathon=kite it only works on slower mobs...but you have main tank or tanks aggro mob and run in a big circle that way he cant really attack.... thats pretty much it... ^_^ hope i answered your question without alot of talking hehe

Don't forget the passing of batton to your WHMs ˆˆ WHM with evasion gear are great marathoners.

Its just provoking/flashing/whatever the monster to grab hate, running it around so it can't attack, while the melee all chase it like idiots. It helps in killing things that are actually above your LS skill level, as you don't have to directly take it on. The reason it helps you to get better drops, is that everyone looks so sad marathoning it, Square actually takes pity on the alliance and showers you with amazing gifts, or so the story goes.

That and the fact that when they sit around eating Funyuns (mmmm Funyuns)and watch recordings of the mayhem they tend to wet themselves in a fit of uncontrolable laughter as mages struggle for MP and melee afk with autofollow/lockon and tanks run around screaming and nubs /say [Call for help!].... so they reward them for a good time had by all
