Yeah that's actually for jp version, for katakana/hiragana indicator, you can change it with alt ~ but this has been disabled on NA client. To show it up on NA client, press space RIGHT when you open up chat mode, the easiest one is by pressing alt space and r, press alt space, then immediately about 0,1 second, press r, that should do it, you need a bit practice for it

I've seen it a few times before I went to JP version, but it doesn't do anything. The 'off/on' thing means if the kanji/space key thing is on or off (press space after to type a word for the kanji to come up) and the 'a' says what type of input you have (eng, hiragana, katakana). I still don't know what the 3rd and 4th thing do.

I never had that pop up until the CoP expansion I think. I'm glad to know what it is for now.

It will come up any time you press CTRL+Space Bar+R at the very exact same time. It's always been there.
