haha I've had talks about this and I knew it could be done. pld/nin rdm/brd smn/whm brd/smn whm/smn and a blm or another smn can kill fafnir. Its all about controlling its TP.

On another server, 8 people from the UAE have killed nidhogg using the smn strat!

Nidhogg and Fafnir isnt really hard. Our last Nidhogg went down within 45min.
Our first Fafnir after update had a glitch so it flailed us.
It did the old knock-back move it had when FFXI had 70cap, then it used flail.

The more you fight particular H/NM, it will become easier and easier, it's been true from what i saw on my ls and other ls. It's not just strategy, you can react better if you know what you're fighting.

I watched a few different JP linkshells fight Fafnir on my server and i figure i can share the strat with everyone.

They only used minimal Damage Dealers!

They killed it in under 25 minutes and only had HW done 5 times. When my linkshell fought him we got hit 35 times with HW and it took us an hour and 30 minutes to kill him. We were taking it slow and being careful sleeping any time someone went down... Still the JP owned him.

fighting fafnir is all about controlling hes TP. smn is best DD on him, ~700 dmg spining dive every min w/o hate probles. . thats ubber lol

Astral flow is safe to use, add's will lose hate once the avatar dies.

If you dont believe me, pull a spider into pit and use it. once pet dies darters go back to baking cookies
