I guess it's off topic, but you make that call. I was playing FF6 the other day, then some 8, then switched to Fable and Morrowind, and it made me realize something.
Single players started to lose their appeal after being in a social RPG for a year or so. The lack of socialism is one thing, but it also made me realize just how perfect FFXI's battle system, item/armor, etc is. It really makes me dissapointed or whatever in the other games.
I'm rambling, sorry, my point is this. I know that FF12 is supposed to have more of a similar battle engine and monster-on-the-screen (no random fights) type of deal, like FFXI, but...until then other games just aren't any fun right now. FFXI spoils you, I think
Does anyone else play any other single player RPG's anymore? If so, which and why? I used to really love FF6, 5, Fable, Morrowind, etc. - but after being so used to FFXI's system and design, I just find myself comparring them to FFXI and being dissapointed. Graphics aren't important, since FF6 is an excellent game and it's visuals never really mattered for that reason. It's just mainly the battle system that I really miss in the other games I think.
