I saw it, remember it last time, but not the reward...what was the reward?
after reading this i'm 52.3% more likely to take someone's live with my bare fking hands today....
a good 30,000-50,000 please that are lvling up 2nd-3rd-4th and some 5th 75 jobs... just kinda stalling... but i do have to say the 3-ryuu have been fun and hard to kill... but pimper items please...
NM, no point in evening saying this... maybe by the end of the summer we'll see new stuffs.
XFD at the Galka job pie chart. And yay for being part of .52% of the population with Veteran fishing. :3
Interesting read.
i think if they want truly meaningful stats, they should discount anyone who does not have a job over Lv 30.
a lot of MNKs and WARs are MNKs and WARs because they can't choose what they really want, not because they want to be MNKs and WARs. when someone has a job over Lv 30, i think that's when you have an accurate description of what jobs people really like or don't like.
I agree with that also. But here is what I found interesting...Originally Posted by layoneil

Outside of the first 20 levels, 71-75 has become the biggest population in the game and 75 was the mode (most common) level. (And I guarantee that a bunch of the people in the 2-10 range are mules also. They probably should have based it off of the character on the content ID with the most playtime.) But with almost 10% of characters at end-game levels, they are going to have to work on more content.
...or create more events where you spend like 300 hours chasing some godforesaken NPC in search of rare/ex items to get a Vanadiel Pez Dispenser +1 for your mogBut with almost 10% of characters at end-game levels, they are going to have to work on more content.
you know...that works too
I rather enjoyed the Festival of Swords, I just wish that there were more rewards. Events have thier place in the game, they are a fun distraction from trying to get "Item of prepetual pwnage+1" to drop from a mob that only shows up once every three months on a day that has a "W" when the moon is at 75%, and the wind is no less that 3 but no more than 5 MPH.Originally Posted by Raineer

20 minutes later... "oh wow 1 more RDM showed up and they are fine, everyone can go back to what they were doing"
/em puts flag back up for his gimp-ass DRK after ditching a party
I think i'll quit HNM'ing and just go back to being a kn00b, it was alot more fun.
Sadly, I know that feeling.Originally Posted by Raineer
But in my experience leveling subjobs, there are not many parties I would feel too badly about ditching.
I find the synthesis page very interesting.
52.62% of the Vana'diel population has a craft rank of Craftsman (60+) or higher. A few people will have multiple crafts at 60+, but not many.
Of that half of the population,
~21.5% are cooking
~20% are alchemy
~16% are clothcrafting
~15% are woodworking
~13.5% are leathercrafting
~7% are bonecrafting
~6% are smithing
~2% are goldsmithing
3.88% of the population has a veteran craft.
Of this portion of the population,
~33% are bonecrafting <----- wtf??
~20% are leathercrafting
~18.5% are alchemy
~11.5% are cooking
~6.5% are woodworking
~5.5% are smithing
~4% are goldsmithing
~0.5% are clothcrafting <----- wtf??
So there you have it. Bonecraft is underpopulated and easy to get veteran. Clothcraft is overpopulated and hard to get veteran.
and GS is still a fucked up way to craft anything! sure the first 100 levels suck, but once thats over its smooth sailing!
Hey Aurik you left out fishing. You anger lord Ebisu, and now hes gonna smite you.
Fishing isn't exclusive with other crafts, so it doesn't make sense to compare it as taking a share of the crafting pie. Plus, I hate fishing and do all I can to malign it.
thats not entirely true . Though there aren't many people with bonecraft 60+ in comparison to others, the majority of 90+ are bonecraft... so its overpopulated in comparison to others. Lot less near 100 clothcrafters and a lot more near 100 bonecrafters. But that is wierd how bonecraft is a minority over 60, but as it gets higher it becomes a majority lol.Originally Posted by aurik
reminds me of the level population. as ppl get higher there are less and less high levels. Then in the final stretch there is a huge increase.
