    Dynamis - San d'Oria NM Strategies?

    Hello, Blue Gartr. I've been an avid reader of the forums for a long time and been meaning to register onto your forums but had no real reason to. Now I find that my new Dynamis LS I'm in, Legitimacy, is having really big trouble with the NMs in Dynamis San d'Oria and maybe you could offer some tips.

    The biggest problem we're having with Dynamis - San d'Oria are those NMs behind the east and west gate. There are usually three moving tombstones before the gate and possibly one or two moving tombstone inside. Whenever our puller tries to grab one of the tombstones moving before the gate, it would end up linking with the other tombstones inside and would pop more mobs then we want plus the NM. It would usually result in near wipes to complete wipes.

    The image below is right after a wipe near the west gate. See how one tombstone was pulled? That one tombstone pretty much brought everything outside and inside the gate to us. Naturally we wiped.


    Same situation again from another angle. A tombstone is just walking back and forth outside before the gate.


    We did a sac pull and we got the NM and its avatar. However, halfway through the fight, it did Charmga on us, and pretty much charmed us all. We were all dragged inside the gate where some of us broke free of Charm, but not before a few of us got aggro and were killed on the spot. Most of them were black mages, and we ran out of black mages to even attempt to defeat the boss (only had four BLMs).

    Questions would be:
    - What's the best way to pull the tombstones at the gates without pulling everything else (outside or inside) to us?
    - What's the best way to defeat the Orc NMs without it using Charmga on us all the time?
    - How do you deal with Charmga?

    your puller will eventually learn how to pull those statues without linking the NM.


    about charmga: just have 1 person tank it, and everyone else range / nuke.

    charmga is tp move orc nm's have ;3 or something

    Hmmm, good idea about not meleeing the NMs other than rangers and black mages (with the exception of a rdm here and there). As for the pulls I guess it was just bad luck or something because I know it's possible to pull the ones before the gate without aggroing anything inside. I guess for a second it felt more then a coinsidence our puller (who's had a lot of experience in the past) link her pulls with the NMs behind the gate twice in one run...

    well heres my trick, cant work around it though.
    Nothing will go as you plan...ever.



    You want a clean pull ? you gonna link NM
    You want to pull the 3 roaming stats ? you gonna link NM
    You want to sac pull the NM ? The NM wont link
