Merit points in Combat skills,

I've been wondering about this for a while. I've been hesitant to put any merits on Hand-to-Hand skill just because my next job is going to be Theif, and since Thief totally suck with sword, figured I should wait and use all my merits there. Am I doing the right thing by waiting? Or should I go ahead and use them on Hand-to-Hand?

If your only 75 job is MNK I don't think you can put Merits in Sword anyway, so it'd be best to put them in H2H since you won't be able to merit sword till 75 anyway. Most people I talk too regret get the agi/dual earring, I don't think the +2 STR earring is sam only, I think every melee job can use it well...

Beastly Earring is only good for BST imo.

No it's not, it's been tested at like 3.5% or something.

It's not completely DW3, it's just close. It's noticeable but not like a huge difference. I'm still glad I got it. It *IS* haste nonetheless... If I want to buy the other stats I can, but I can't buy a haste earring.

ya... it's noticable but not +2 str... basic rule that i always said is that 2/3 str = 1 pt of damage on most nms (RNG). as a 75 RNG - 75 MNK i'd have to say I wish i got +2 str.... I was thinking of doing Nin after rng... and the dark side Tricked me.

I still have my ark pentasphere from when I setup the last AABC run and we used septimus orb. I'm not going to ever set it up again, but if you want to organize it, I have the orb to get in.

Triumph Earring - Robust Earring - Nimble Earring - Communiun Earring - Adroit Earring - Omn. Earring(never seen this one on my server INT I'm assuming?)

Suppa ftw imo. Dual Wield is good for any/all jobs subbing nin (or playing nin itself)

Only Triumph are easily available to buy on AH, the others are craft only and/or pretty rare. Besides, getting a +2str or int saves you from buying a marion/phantom +1 or Triumph anyway...
