I'm just glad I can be part of both sides of the argument now. ^-^ RDM is not better or stronger than BRD, in same sense BRD is not stronger than RDM. In terms of gear, both jobs are faced with woes and limitations. Hell, instrument skills aren't even A+, yet RDM JSE doesn't provide any crucial benefits to improve RDM capabilities either. I think they're balanced out.
Now let's all level BRD if you're RDM, and level RDM if you're BRD and love each other and have understanding.

i think SE made it quite clear rdm's are a job that can do everything, while a bard is ultimate support for PT...that being said is prolly why songs like ballad III is being tested yet no refresh II, massacre elegy tested but no slow II
as rdm's were desined to get a part of everything i don't there are reasons to put him on par to any other job's ability
Tier II debuffs are in the system, just not available. Current ones that exist are:
Stone, Water, Aero, Fire, Blizzard, Thunder V
Stonega, Waterga, Aeroga, Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga IV
Gravity II, Graviga, Paralyzga, Blindga, Silencega, Bindga, Aspir II, Drain II, Phalanx II, Protect and Shell V, Protectra and Shellra V, Cure VI, Curaga V, Freeze, Flare, Flood, Quake, Burst, Tornado II, Meteor and Meteor II, Dia III, IV, and V, Bio III, IV, and V, etc.
There's actually a ton of 'em, take a look through that POL Utility thing or whatever it's called sometime, you'll see all of the spells that exist and are currently coded, but not all are available to players.
