Actually this does work. And it does tell you before you sign up in order to get your free i-Pod you just have 5 friends sign up. The deal is the companies pay them to be listed as one of their services, so they get guaranteed members, and the i-Pod company makes enough profit to be able to give out the i-Pods and incentive to sign up.
