This is a follow-up to the previous news regarding congestion issues with the version update occurring since Jul. 19, 2005 2:00 (PDT).

We have confirmed that there is a continuous DDoS attack underway which has hampered our efforts and slowed the recovery process.
Our technicans are still investigating the issue and considering all possible options to bring this matter to a speedy resolution.

I made it as far as the "Version update available" screen once, but I accidentally clicked "Back".

About an hour ago I managed to connect and start downloading perfectly normally. Either the DDoS attack stopped, Square got their act together, or I'm just extremely lucky... Anyone else noticing this? Or am I just the last one in line?

no, SE got it together i think, i dled it too, but now it says I have wrong version <-<; go figure....

No they did not. I DLed the remainder this morning while I was getting ready for work, and it took me 1.5 hours to DL 272 or so files on my DSL.

Although I actually did mange to finish the update, that was a ridiculous amount of time.
