its not so at all really just gotta know where to shoot from, try subbing war

You sir, are a retard.Originally Posted by mdn
Try subbing war now. If you're smart about hate and know the right distance to stand, you can actually do slightly more dmg than before. I was in a deco pt w/ a 71 ranger, whos slugs got as high as 1500 yesterday. Its only a nerf if you don't change the way you play. On the plus side, its a good time to buy all ranger gear 90% off, so that when people realize the job is still good, you can cash out on it.
That's right, lol and I'm going to use that quote, hope you dont mind.Originally Posted by Xavier
if u use war sub. it nerf's rng defence, and knowing where to shoot from still nerfs the /thf Skillchain with rng, so yes, no matter how you play it is a nerf
Ya...even if you alter your play style it's still a nerf.Originally Posted by Ultrabum

Thank you bringing humor to another "Ranger nerf" thread.Originally Posted by Kuai
oh, i'm sorry. i forgot forcing rangers into subbing warrior to do damage that still doesn't compare to what they used to do with ninja sub unless they stand a perfect 15.4 meters away from the monster actually made them a better job class!Originally Posted by Xavier
not to mention how easy it is to stand that perfect distance to a mob being kited around a room.
rangers 4life dawg
I don't plan to ever play RNG hardcore again, but all the same, the reports of its demise are greatly exaggerated. Yes, its a horrible nerf. Now instead of doing high damage with no fear of dying, they have to control hate, woopdedo.
FI saw this comming months ago and went after ridills for WAR/NINs...ya thats the reason...ya
Best part of this thread, hands down.Originally Posted by Russta

We kinda have Invincible.
Manafont + PLD Cover. Works wonders when something's gotta die and it's gotta die fast.
I'm thinking that maybe, if you put your leading damage BLM in same party as PLD, and begin nuking something to death with him keeping hate, and the PLD covering, how much more damage would you do when trying to kill something off?
Ideas, ideas... I'd like to see what happens with this for Wyrm 1% mode. Start the nukefest at like 3%, hit a Light SC then, toss 3 BLM in a pt with 3 PLD, put the BLM behind the PLD, Nuke until pull hate, Covers, nuke, nuke, nuke.
lol ... probably wouldn't work, but would be fun as hell to watch.
Then cover wears off...Originally Posted by Genosync
I would cure bomb the BLM. Often, it works.
Save the Queen is for those situations. I am glad I got one when I saw it on the AH. I have it macro'ed in for my Cover. That 1 extra cover has given me just enough time to get voke back up, Flash up, or just save that person's life as the mob is about to die.
But about the wrym, would that cause a Spike Flail? I never have fought against any of the wyrms.
only if you're real stupid about it.Originally Posted by Heian
I see. Flail comes from a huge transfer in hate, or when the wyrm turns 180 degrees really quick? I'm curious, I hear people talk about flails, like one LS on Valefor wiped the pool area in Arey (about 60 people) because my friend said "They were stupid, and caused a flail" What conditions cause a "Spike Flail" to occur?
