How can NA JP EU have different maintenence times? They can't.

Typo.

The nature of the maintenace is what causes maintenance to be at different times (at least this is what I believe). The servers themselves are being changed/upgraded.

Otherwise I really have absolutely no idea how and why exactly NA update can be different in length than JP or EU. So I really hope you're right.

German/EU site ==> 18 hours
Japanese site ==> 18 hours
American site is typo at 34 hours, i bet they will fix it soon.

DDoS attacks were all a lie. Honestly, I think physical stability of the servers is in question here and knowing SE they'll let them self implode before they spend a penny to fix them. -.-

Well Xavier pointed out what exactly they are doing during the maint. Honestly, I don't pay attention to what they will do, rather than the time I will be out of the game. And if they do change server machines I hope it will resolve alot of lag issues people been having. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but weird stuff like not being able to access AH, zones not loading for few mins while you've zoned, etc. Fresh servers, GO!
