The FINAL FANTASY XI development team is currently working on the next version update! Adventurers can expect additions to the Fellowship system, new areas, and several other changes. Details will be posted to the Topics section as soon as they are released, so keep checking back for more information! The version update will take place in early October.

I hear the new areas have a level cap of 10 and you have to do 8 weeks worth of quests to get there. I also hear there are poppable monsters that you need 8 items to pop. These items drop from 21-24 hr lotto pop nms and are not 100% drop.

i'm not really complaining, since the last patch was nice, but i wonder if quality content really pushes them back a whole month :x

You've just answered your own question, Bert. The Dev. Team is probably given a deadline based on marketing research. They create a clif-hanger effect by keeping people in suspense of what next update will bring and people stay in the game, paying monthly fee untill the next patch. It's a business after all, not a game.

Almost 100% the area pictured is Lower Promyvion. I guess we're going to get Ou'Hpat Obelisk as well, and .... Dynamis - Valkurm

Hey sept, my NPC is 41 and I don't know where I should level her. I'm too high for Eastern Desert Gobs but I think I'm too low for the Western Gobs also.

Manticores and Anticans (in west altep, by Kuftal) Best place to level your npc, till like ~51 or so
