(Help me out!) Texas DMV (Where?)

Aight, this is a question for Texans. Recently I went to renew my driving liscence. I couldn't. Turns out a ticket I was issued for speeding in Texas in 2003 hasn't been paid, because I never recieved late notices due to change of address and original ticket was lost.

Now, the DMV in NY asked me to come back with proof of payment for my ticket and a letter stating that suspension on my liscence was lifted so I can renew my NY liscence.

Problem: Texas DMV site doesn't provide any form of contact to actual DMV dept and 411 in NY can't provide any info either.

Whoever's a Texas resident, could you please give me a local number of DMV dept. Much appreciated.

P.S. No clue what town I was issued ticket in.

I've always wondered if you got pulled over and said "I don't have time for this I have poop coming out of my rear-end as we speak" what the cop would say.

Funny you should say that. He asked what was the rush, I replied I needed to go to the bathroom. He gave me a blank stare. Than gave me breathalizer test and wrote me a ticket.

I would say "Well I was going to publically deficate over there next to the pre-school but decided it better if I go a few miles over the speed limit in order to use the facilities in my own place of residence".

You just want the DMV in Austin? Or, do you need the DMV for the city your ticket was issued in?

I have a few friends who have told an officer they had diarhea and had to go to the bathroom, the cop laughed and gave them a ticket.

The Department of Motor Vehicles usually has an office in each city or at least each county seat. I doubt it will do any good to call the Austin one but they might be able to look up records from elsewhere given that it is the office in the Capital City.

DMV's arent safe anymore. We had some noob drive threw the building and hit some people here in Tennessee!
