Auto refresh vs refresh

I was hunting for coffer keys with another whm. I had AF2 body and she was subbing smn. My refresh was slightly faster than hers.

I was wondering if anyone knows if armor refresh is better than smn auto-refresh. Or does it have anything to do with the AF2 body as opposed to other refresh pieces?

They're the same. I have Noble's Tunic and SMN SJ. I see it increase by 2 instead of 1s.

But AF2 is definelty faster than smn sub. We sat there watching it and every once in a while I would pass her tick. It isnt much but it is noticeable.

It's not faster. Your "refresh" timer were different. Add in latency too.

Not faster, you two would have to log on at exactly the same time to predict this. That and let's not forget people potentionally changing body gears from time to time.

Ok we just tested it, it is due to latency. One person seems to go faster, and then the other one.

If you get a tick at same time, one person will move ahead, but then the other person will catch up and pass them. But always staying the same, just checking, nvm.

Refresh/Regen ticks will always happen every 3 seconds without any kind of latency affecting it.

But while staring at it, you will see people slow up and down. If 2 mages are ticking at the same time, if you wait a little, it will look like they aren't. It jumps around even though it is supposed to be the same.
