Well this is it, about 12 hours before the storm starts affecting things... Rita could possibly stall over Houston and rain continuously for days, for those that don't know, Houston is horrible for flooding and even a bad thunderstorm can cause extensive flooding. My house is on a "lake" but it's not actually a lake, it's actually flood control, meaning that flood waters from other parts of Houston will be pouring into my backyard essentially. To make matters worse, Rita may stall over Houston, rain intensely, then pass over, and due to the high pressure systems it may come back for seconds.

I fear the worst, I fear that I did not purchase enough beer and liqour for the duration of this storm and power outages. This could be a problem.

I've taken before pictures and will take after pictures (hopefully they won't be dramatically different) and I plan on taking some videos if I can which I will share with everyone when I can get back online. That is, if I don't get impaled by a flying 2 x 4.
