    Kirin in 15 minutes?

I believe I read one of the LSes that post here (PO maybe?) said their fastest Kirin was in 15 minutes. I'm curious to know how people could kill him that way. The way my ls does it is pretty standard I think: We kite him until all his smns are dead, and then go in for the kill. Killing the smns usually takes about 15-25 minutes just because sometimes he takes a long time to summon them, and then we take another 20-35 minutes to actually kill Kirin himself (depending on the jobs present, how many he nails with flow etc).

But if you're killing him in 15 minutes do you also kill his smns, or just have teams of people kite them around? I think the fastest we've killed Kirin is about 50 minutes or so, and I felt good about that until I saw a record of 15...

    Definetly wasn't us

I know some LS on midgard use to be able to kill it in about 30min before the RNG-nerf.

Yeah, pre-RNGnerf, 2 alliances. 1 for claiming and killing the smns, 1 for killing Kirin from the moment he was poped. Only time they needed to kite was after Astral Flow, other than that its just a free-for-all balls-to-the-walls fight.

I think our best was 18 minutes pre-nerf after summons pop. Somehow we had every LS ranger there so just went and wanted to see how fast we could kill. I think we put 9 rangers in ally plus bards.

We (BG) did it in around 15-20 minutes on our first straight-up tank strat. Kicked all the RNGs and 90% of the blms and just had melees with SATA rape it. Its more fun than chasing it, but becareful of gaVIIXXM and the omgwtf carbuncle astral flow.

We killed him in 40-45 minutes from start to finish. We had 2-3 BLM, 1 DRK, 1 DRG, 2 WAR, 1 RNG, 1 SAM for damage. Straight tanked for the most part by me and others. So easy to kill this way can't believe we did it any other way.

Think we had a 27 minute Kirin or so including summons once.. or was it 24 minute.. honestly don't remember. Before the RNG nerf that is.

    12:35...didn't summon the last one.

When I saw that, my jaw hit the floor. It was the night before the rng nerf, so I guess they let their rngs go out with a bang.

    Fafnir in 13 minutes?

  17. #17

Yeah summit had 1-2 seperate alliances doing the summons, with 9-12 rangers in the main alliance shooting kirin the night before ranger nerf. Zerg Rush anyone?

  18. #18

the more you dmg kirin, the faster he summons. So I guess you probably need like 2 alliances to handle the summons or 1 very strong alliance if you are going to kill kirin in 15 minutes because I think you would have to kill a summon every 1-2 minutes if that's the case.
