If you look at the last question, it asks where you would like to see POL implimented. There were many choices like PSP, PS3, Revolution, Macs etc. One of the options is a car navigation system.

My comment was something along the lines of "It's probably not a good idea to drive and play FFXI on your car navigation system at the same time".

GM's got a pasting from me! Also bitched about the current "Accept & Add" bug and the problem with only being able to put six digits in the H-ID number after the required prefix of "00-" when most NA players are seven.

Not going to write everything I wrote, but a few lines I think most of us can agree on:

Implement a Windowed mode for POL and FFXI. If SE has so many worries about 3rd party programs - specifically a windower - they can make their own to lessen the issue drastically; this is, assuming their real interest is the safety of their consumer's account information.

(The GM question)

GM Luminous, and Teelow are potentionally the worst representatives of "customer service" I have ever seen, and I work in retail. The only time a GM was ever helpful was actually getting my character "unstuck," aside from that the vast majority of them are very, very unhelpful. The only one who was down-to-earth and extremely helpful would be GM Gludd, who offered to put forth time in effort in catching accused botters and gilsellers while all the rest do the robot and say "We'll look into it."

Other game services have acted upon issues much more swiftly, and notably, than POL. Real-Money Trade and botting is cracked down much harder in other games. Their claiming system is also devising in such a way to prevent other players stealing from one another. Others have systems that make it nearly impossible to MPK (Monster-Player Kill) others; unlike POL where it happens constantly in FFXI, particularly as specific monster camp areas (high profit yielding NMs, and HNMs).

Putting the POL service into a Car Navigation system has to be the most dangerous, and potentionally least thorough though-out idea I have ever heard.

I suggested they get GMs that actually do things, as well as do more to enforce their 'anti 3rd party' policy. Watching people port over the rocks to claim King Arthro and GM says "we'll watch them carefully over the next 3 days" and then never does anything about it

I'll respond to it tonight, but reading this, I have a few thoughts.

In game suggestions: Add ground HNM Rare/EX items (Ridills, Abjurations) to BCs that are the very equivalent of what the HNM is. Make it have a 3 day or more lock out per fight so people can't completely farm them. Don't change the monsters in any way. Keep it the same difficulty in the BC. Even KB. He's killable in under an hour. This alone will kill around 90% of HNM LS drama. It's not the same LS getting claim after claim because they're using 3rd party tools. Then they get pissed off at you for "accusing" them when they actually do use it and someone hacks their private forums and posts the whole thread over BG forums. Anyway... This also gives many other players an attempt at Koenig bodies, Defending rings (thanks Jhun and Rotsu. Rya really loves it!) etc.

For those of you that played WOW.. Think of the instances... It was impossible to MPK players. NM was there all the time. You might not get the item, but atleast you can attempt it rather than hoping to join an LS and never getting a chance.

Actually make an attempt to get rid of gil-sellers. We had 2 of them watching us fight Tzee Xicu last night saying "Please invite me" over and over then sending tells to our WHM "Raise III us" when they died to astral flow.

GMs:
I've been unable to get Escort for Hire quests for about 3 months now. I finally called a GM and explained I've attempted speaking with the NPCs and checking the 3 areas. They just tell me "I can't give out game information." Lot of help there. Can't even tell me "You have XXX problem and this is how you solve it."

POL:
In the car is stupid. On a cell phone might be cool as long as it's POL only. Can check messages and send them. Etc. Basically POL plus. Having windower enabled by default would be nice. Wouldn't worry about needing 2 PCs to search for information about missions/quests/NMs/items..

Check your quest log Okan, you might have one of the lesser-known Escort quests: All By Myself and The Big One are actually Escorts (Dangruf Wadi and Tavnazia). The 3 cities have their main, but there's 5 escorts all together.

I think the survey was just SE's way too see how many people still think that SE care about what you feel about them. If nobody filled out the survey, perhaps SE will finally get their shit together and do something to improve the game. Reverse thinking here.

I didn't mention anything about the GMs, HNMs, or anything FFXI related because it was a PlayOnline and Official PlayOnline Website servey. If they asked for ways to improve the game of FFXI I damn sure would have mentioned all the things everyone else said. The main feature I suggested for PlayOnline was an integrated web browser for all versions. Instead of using windowers which also allow other 3rd-Party programs to exploit the game, an inbound browser could cut down at least half of that. Me being a PS2 user, and potentially a XBX360 user, I want to be able to browse the internet with my systems (like the Dreamcast). Not just for FFXI stuff but for other things as well, like downloading, sharing and archiving memory card files. If console users could browse the net through POL they'd have no reason to be ignorent or say "I don't have a PC."

I mentioned several other things but this was my main focus. I should have also said they need to eliminate Tetra Master and just make it a FFXI Minigame. >_>
