Limited charges, so I assume it lets you call your npc extra times outside of the normal once per 20 hours. I would guess it would cost gil to get one after completing some quest, and you could buy a new one each conquest tally.

Why does the tactics pearl 5 only have 4 charges.... Shouldn't it be tactics pearl 4?

I have given up all hope. I really think I recruited the gimpest NPC buddy in the land. She has never lvled, so I took her to the desert on some top secret info that the desert is the "Hot Spot" to get your npc lvled. I call her out, she is in lvl 1 starters gear > > . I took out some beetles still no ding. So I took on a cactuar ........ 1000 needles = dead NPC buddy and my plans for the night ruined. I will attempt this again in 20hrs, but if she cant get her ass in gear I am kicking her from the ls

No I xpd my NPC on Weapons outside Jueno in Battalia Downs, Rolanberry, Sauro, Qufim. They gain 200 xp a kill on creatures that check IT to their level not yours. Pretty sure they go away after 15 kills too. I wonder what this new earring will do. Maybe its some OMGWTF 2hr of some sorts depending on the class of NPC.

I've leveled mine up to 49 as well, and as long as your killing mobs high enough level at a resonable clip, they level up pretty much every other time you call them.

Teaming up with someone else (or even 2 people) thats also leveling their NPC speeds up the kills and makes the exercise much less borring.

Till you can switch your npc's job to attack or healer, you have to be careful with what you fight. I started off fighting buffalo's in U-Range and needless to say, vokeing npc = dead npc

I was thinking maybe its used in one of the later quests? (maybe you have to get your NPC to do something, and the pearl is what you use to make em do it?)

The armor thing, as far as I can tell, is totally random. They wear what they want to wear.. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with dying, etc.
